About eHope | The eHope Story

OUR SERVICES

  1. eHope provides continuous caregiver support beginning with the initial diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, through curative (clinical) treatment stages and on through palliative, end-of-life care (hospice) along with subsequent periods of grief and bereavement.


  2. eHope helps create face-to-face caregiver communities which begin with a nucleus of 15-20 individuals consisting of friends, family members, neighbors, coworkers and friends.


  3. eHope facilitates instructional meetings to assist in organizing caregiver communities, in a way where the care recipient's needs are met and no single individual is over-burdened.


  4. eHope helps to identify the collective abilities in each caregiver group, and fosters a strong sense of community between group participants.


  5. eHope creates and hosts private caregiver web sites which communicate day-to-day needs.


    eHope sites also provide a central collection point for multimedia memories (photos / audio / video).
 

What's the criteria for receiving eHope's services?

  1. You or somone you know have received the diagnosis of a life-threatening illness. This does not have to be a terminal diagnosis.

    Examples of life-threatening illnesses:
    cancer, ALS, MS, HIV.


    AND


  2. The patient and the primary caregiver(s) are willing to receive care from a group of caregivers.
 

What is the cost of eHope's services?

eHope provides all of its services free-of-charge, relying entirely on private donations and public grants.

eHope is a tax-exempt organization as defined under IRS code section 501(C)(3).
