"Everything in this world tries to pull us away from community, pushes us to choose
ourselves over others, and to choose going fast alone over going far together."

About eHope | Peeps We Serve

THE REALITY OF 24x7 CARE

Marc and Sandra Levasseur arrived home from the hospital following Marc's tracheostomy, having been trained for the physical aspects of ventilator care, but emotionally unprepared to handle the rigors of day-to-day 24x7 care for an ALS patient on life support. They needed assistance  in coordinating the help of their family and friends.

Getting Started with eHope
This 12 minute video clip details the process that Marc & Sandra followed in launching their eHope group.

Life with an eHope Community
This 7 minute video clip details the day-to-day process of caring for the Levasseur's using the eHope model of  care.

The Facilitator's Perspective
This 13 minute video clip provides the perspective of family friend Luc Duhamel who received training in his role of facilitator for Marc & Sandra's caring community.

"eHope's focus isn't the illness, it's the care.
They provide an essential service that no one
really even talks about - guiding communities
of family, friends and neighbors through the
process of caring for a patient and their family.
The support and guidance of our eHope Case
Manager has been invaluable in terms of
providing us with the tools and training to
efficiently communicate and safely provide care
for the Levasseur's."
