"The search for community is a fundamental life search. We search with desperation as terms such as 'neighbor,' and 'family' are redefined. People are searching to belong in new ways."

DONATE A VEHICLE

Instead of scrapping, selling or storing your used vehicle (car, truck, van, boat, RV, or plane), consider donating it to eHope through Vehicles for Charity.  In return you will receive a tax deduction, and eHope receives 60% of the salvage or resale value.  The remaining 40% goes to the Metropolitan Association of Retarded Citizens, a nonprofit providing advocacy and support for developmentally disabled individuals and families in the Denver area.

How does the program work?

Complete the online form or call the toll-free number -
(866) 628-2277 - to begin the process. A local towing service will call you directly to schedule a pick up - typically within 2-4 days.  At the time of the pick up, the driver will provide you a receipt for your vehicle. You are not charged for towing.

You will be allowed a tax deduction in the amount of the gross selling price of your vehicle. Vehicles for Charity notifies you in writing within 30 days of the sale or salvage of your vehicle, with details of the final amount of your charitable contribution. eHope also receives your donation within 30 days of the sale or salvage of your vehicle.

"I recently donated my van, a 2000 Ford Windstar, to eHope through Vehicles for Charity, and the process was easy and reliable. When I called Vehicles for Charity -
(866) 628-2277, a REAL person picked up the phone, took the information of my vehicle and found
eHope immediately in their database. They provided simple instructions regarding vehicle pick up and how to fill out the title.

In 2 days, my vehicle had been removed at no charge, and registered as an eHope donation. A $500 tax deduction can automatically be taken, but Vehicles for Charity will send a receipt if the auto is sold for more, which is what happened in my case. My total tax write-off was $1,200 - $720 of which went directly to eHope "
